Meet the Teacher

The beginning of my teaching adventures....

My adventures began as an undergraduate student. I was able to work with preschool children between the ages of two and seven in the Meredith Autism Program for three years. This wonderful program introduced me to the world of autism and I fell in love with these quirky individuals. I graduated from Meredith with degrees in psychology and child development and both my elementary and special education licenses, ready to teach young children with and without disabilities.

I am now pursuing my M.Ed. in Autism and ABA from Endicott College and am going into my second year of teaching! Last year I was lucky enough to be a first year teacher of a K-5 autism class! I was very excited about having my own class and knew that it would be both a great joy and a challenge. Unfortunately the EC department in our county was doing a lot of restructuring and my classroom was dissolved. However, I was able to move to my home school and land a kindergarten position! This blog will talk about adventures in my classroom, my growth of learning through graduate school in the field, and interesting teaching products that I create and find. Please join me on my kindergarten adventures!
